Outport Newfoundland
is a "Holdin' Gound"
In the region, we celebrate spectacular natural scenery and a legacy of cultural heritage, including native sons - Ted Russell and David French, both born in Bay Roberts, Christopher Pratt (whose mother was born in Bay Roberts) & Captain Bob Bartlett from Brigus. In addition, we celebrate the oldest English colony in Canada, founded in 1610 in Cupids by John Guy.
